Katie L. Mabardy

Katie is a strategic and mission-driven fundraising executive with nearly 20 years of experience driving transformational revenue growth for environmental and global organizations. She currently serves as Vice President of Development & Membership at the Environmental Law Institute, where she leads all philanthropic and membership strategy and is responsible for generating the organization’s entire $7 million operating budget. Previously, as Director of Philanthropy for the Western Region at the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Katie expanded her portfolio from $125,000 to nearly $4 million and boosted regional revenue from $2 million to over $7 million. She specializes in securing six- and seven-figure gifts, mentoring high-performing fundraising teams, and developing donor-centric strategies that break down internal silos, not only increasing revenue but also enhancing team morale. Katie’s expertise lies in navigating complex environmental issues while fostering lasting relationships with high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. 

Before her work at WWF, Katie served as Executive Director at Project C.U.R.E. Phoenix, where she managed $18 million in healthcare investments benefiting hospitals and clinics globally. Katie holds a Master’s Degree in Global Business Administration from Thunderbird School of Global Management and is recognized for her visionary leadership, strategic insight, and unwavering dedication to protecting all life on our planet.
