Is Planet Women’s mission still the same?

1

Absolutely! We remain deeply committed to our mission, vision and values. We continue to partner with women to create a healthy planet for the benefit of all life.

What does it mean to be “fiscally sponsored”

2

When an organization is fiscally sponsored, it means another established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization has agreed to legally and financially support it. The sponsor—in our case, Mission Edge—holds the tax-exempt status, manages compliance and finances, and accepts tax-deductible donations on behalf of Planet Women.

What is the advantage of fiscal sponsorship compared to 501(c)(3) status?

3

With Mission Edge sponsoring Planet Women, it allows us to continue our mission while benefiting from administrative support and a reduced legal and financial burden. Planet Women controls its own programs and activities, and it operates under Mission Edge’s governance and policies. Learn more about Mission Edge on their website.

Are my donations to Planet Women still tax deductible?

4

If I am a Ripple member, what does this mean for my recurring gift?

Yes. Your gift is 100% tax deductible. Our EIN has changed because we are now part of Mission Edge, so please use their EIN 27-2938491 for your record-keeping and tax preparation.

Your recurring gift will continue to be processed in the same way. Our donation platform will automatically update your gift receipts with the new EIN (27-2938491) for Planet Women as a fiscally sponsored project of Mission Edge.
