Kaylee Kembumbala

Development Coordinator

Kaylee serves as Planet Women’s operational engine for donor relations. Along with strengthening development operations, outreach strategy, and digital brand identity, Kaylee engages with Planet Women’s systems through the lens of stewardship. "Data does not constitute a presence of numbers; it constitutes a presence of people." She believes that lasting impact is measured by both our audience's engagement and their willingness to self-identify with Planet Women's mission. She believes that cultivating that engagement in a mutually beneficial manner helps bridge the gap between you and us, which is her primary driver for joining Planet Women.

Kaylee leverages her background in nonprofit and higher education operations to advance Planet Women's fundamental goal: global support of women leaders in the environmental sector. Previously, she worked with Bowie State University's Division of Philanthropy, where she supported fundraising for the Dorothy Holland Student Emergency Fund.

Kaylee will soon hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bowie State University, where she is recognized as a 2026 Pillars of Success Marketing Scholar and a 2025-2026 Center for Financial Advancement Scholar. But when she isn't organizing systems or elevating digital brand presence, Kaylee enjoys exploring local nature trails, reading in the library, and working on creative design projects. Kaylee is elated to leverage her creative storytelling to empower women leaders protecting our ecosystems.
