Janet Nguyen

Interim Chief Executive Officer

Janet is passionate about helping women find their inner power and increase their impact in the critical work they do to care for the planet. She is the Interim CEO for Planet Women and leads our 100 Women Pathway program, which is designed to elevate more women, especially women of color, into C-suite and other senior roles in the environmental space. Janet firmly believes that a new paradigm of leadership grounded in justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging will create a better future for people and the planet. 

Janet is one of Planet Women’s founding team members and has been with the organization from its inception in 2020. She has extensive human resources leadership experience in the tech and conservation sectors. Prior to Planet Women, Janet worked at Rare, a non-profit that helps communities adopt more sustainable behaviors and practices to protect and conserve natural resources.

Janet earned a BA in psychology from James Madison University and an MA in HR management from Marymount University. She loves to travel and lives in Tysons, VA with her husband, three daughters, and a very nervous rescue dog.
