Eunice Oppong Asante

CEO

I am an environmentalist with expertise in environmental risk management, sustainability, climate change, gender equality, environmental regulation, environmental and social safeguards, and forest restoration. I currently serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Centre for Sustainability and Environmental Action (CSEA).
With my background in Environmental Risk Management and over 10 years of experience, I have worked extensively with NGOs, local authorities, schools, smallholder farmers, marginalized communities, and government agencies across Ghana and beyond. My work centres on promoting environmental sustainability and leading collaborative climate action initiatives through fieldwork, public education, research, lobbying, advocacy, policy dialogue, capacity building, and community engagement.
A key focus of my work is empowering women, who are often disproportionately affected by climate change, especially in the agricultural sector. Through gender-focused programs and inclusive leadership, I have contributed to the integration of gender considerations into climate-related projects, advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion in climate action.
My strong project management skills have enabled me to successfully lead projects through all stages of development and implementation, ensuring they are delivered in environmentally and socially responsible ways that benefit local communities.
